Platenius, Jung & Meier founded

1940
HUGO VOGELSANG acquires Platenius, Jung & Meier

1954
First hardening furnace placed in operation

1959
Name changed to HUGO VOGELSANG GmbH & Co. KG

1968
Investment in a 20-roll reversing mill

1973
New premises built in Alemannenweg

1989
Second 20-roll reversing mill placed in operation

1996
BILSTEIN acquires HUGO VOGELSANG

Seit 1997
Purchase of additional land in Alemannenweg and construction of modern administrative offices; extension of the hardening and edging facilities and the annealing plant; expansion of the IT system

2003
Expansion of office space in Alemannenweg 32

2005
Vertical narrow strip furnace constructed

2006
Annealing facilities expanded

2008
Construction of a new, larger hardening plant

2012
